Editing Compact Start Menu

There is a WB skin that I really like to use, in compact start mode...however in the "places" section, a bit of the text label is appearing next to the icons. My icons are set to small and my dpi is "Normal" 96 dpi. I read somewhere else here that I can edit the skin in Skin Studio, which I will try to do. I have never used SS before, so...can anyone tell me where to locate the compact "places" graphic in the right window pane of SS? I can see the normal places graphic, but I don't think that is the one I need to adjust sizing on. BTW, the skin in question is OpusOS. Your help would be much appreciated, thanks!
Edit: Okay, I just realized that it's not the places panel itself that needs to be adjusted, but the user pane? Is this correct? Will adjusting this automatically adjust the places panel?

Yes, just keep making user pane smaller until text is gone.

Thanks for pointing me to the tutorial. After seeing the part about assigning a new name, I realized there was a drop down list of the other OpusOS sub styles.
Thanks again!

Another thing you can do, which is much easier, is adjust the the left margin of the places panel - increase that margin until the text no longer appears.
